Invisible Bead Extensions Home Care

Maintaining stunning hair extensions isn’t just about the initial investment; it’s about the daily care and attention they deserve. Proper care routines not only ensure their longevity but also keep your natural hair healthy and vibrant. Here are nine essential guidelines to preserve your extensions and maintain that flawless look effortlessly.

1. Always Use Professional Products.

You must always use products that are sulfate/paraben free. Use a leave-in conditioner and treat with a mask once a week if necessary. If applying heat, use a heat protectant to protect from drying or discoloration.

2. Don’t Forget a Daily Serum.

Daily use of an oil/serum will help to keep your hair soft and manageable. Avoid tinted oils which will tarnish your blonde extensions.

3. Follow Proper Swimming/Beach Hair Prep.

Rinse hair first with tap water and then liberally apply a leave-in conditioner. Leave your hair wet/damp. Then fasten in a bubble-style braid. Avoid all sunscreens that contain Avobenzone. These can turn extension hair pink/peach on blonde hair.

4. Take Care After Activities That Cause Sweating.

When activities take place in humid conditions or when you are sweating such as the gym, steam rooms, and saunas, make sure the extensions are dried inmediately after. Focus on the weft line to avoid moisture retention and swelling.

5. Be Diligent About a Nightime Prep Routine

Never go to sleep with wet hair, as it can cause extreme matting and tangling. Place hair in a loose top knot or braid. Use a silk pillowcase to keep hair manageable and frizz-free.

6. DO NOT Brush The Top of The Weft

Avoid the top of the wefts where the stitching is. This can cause pulling on the weft which can cause matting and shedding. When this happens you will have to replace the wefts much sooner.

7. Always Support The Top Of The Wefts and Corners

You will do this by pressing down on or holding them when you are brushing, blow drying and styling. This will help to maintain the health of your hair as well as the extensions. Brush hair thoroughly twice a day.

8. Separate The Hair Row by Row.

Separate into sections by row when brushing, shampooing and blow drying. This ensures you are being gentle on the hair and not causing unnecessary pulling, which can lead to irriation/damage.

9. Never Pull the Hair Into a Ponytail in the Middle Back of Your Head

This can put tension on the extensions. Keep it low or fully flipped up and high. Pulling hair back into the middle of your head will cause tension on the front of your extensions and cause your own hair to be pulled out prematurely.

Remember, the secret to luscious, long-lasting extensions lies in the daily TLC you provide. By following these guidelines diligently, you’re not just caring for your extensions, but also nurturing the health and radiance of your own hair. Treat your tresses with the care they deserve, and they’ll continue to adorn you beautifully for a long time to come.
